  • Honey-toned travertine, belted in walnut. Yellow travertine runs warmer than cream, almost honey once lit. A solid walnut band circles the drum and hides the socket, so you see only stone and wood.
  • Yellow Travertine or a darker Volcano Black. The Volcano Black version swaps the stone for a deep-finished metal drum when a room needs a darker note. Both keep the walnut belt.

A small drum of warm stone, belted by wood.

AVORIO No.05 was sketched in a Tivoli stone yard, watching travertine blocks emerge from the cut. The yellow variety has a warmer tone than cream travertine, almost honey when lit from within. We wanted to keep the form small and useful: a 7-inch drum, just under 5 inches tall, with a single walnut band cinched around its middle.

The belt of wood is structural. It hides the bulb-mount and the cable termination, so the cylinder reads as pure stone above and below. From below, light escapes downward in a clean pool.

Real travertine, joined to walnut by hand

Yellow travertine is rarer than cream. We source from a single Italian quarry, where the cut is hand-selected. The walnut belt is European, jointed seamlessly. The cable is braided black cotton with a brass canopy.

Available also in a Volcano Black variant where the stone is replaced by deep-finished metal for projects that need a darker note.
