A dome of yellow stone, a globe of frosted glass.
When we designed AVORIO No.03, we were drawing the half-dome niches set into the colored marble walls of Roman bath houses: a stone vault cut from the wall itself, holding a single source of light, the curve of the stone shading the room. The form is older than electricity.
AVORIO No.03 carries that geometry forward. A demi-dome of yellow Tuscan travertine, cut to a clean half-sphere, sits over a hand-blown frosted glass globe. The glow effect through the stone is warm and uneven. The frost on the glass holds the rest of the light back from the wall.
Tall and slim at 12.6 inches. Sized to mark a vertical line beside a tall mirror or a slim door.
Yellow travertine, frosted glass, blackened steel
The dome is cut from yellow Tuscan travertine and left unfilled. Each piece is uniquely veined: some warmer toward ochre, others closer to cream. The walnut backplate and arm-pin are turned from solid stock. The frosted glass globe is hand-blown to a soft matte that glows evenly under the small G9 bulb.
The drop arm is bent matte black steel. Long enough to clear a tall mirror or wainscoting.

Hardwires into a standard US junction box. G9 socket takes a single small bulb (LED equivalent, free dimmable bulb included). Dimmable with a standard wall dimmer. Damp-rated (IP44) for bathrooms and covered exteriors.
