Carlo Scarpa worked the disc as a quiet architectural gesture, a moon laid flat on a wall or ceiling. The LUNA No.01 carries that idea forward. A shallow cream travertine band rings a flush opal diffuser, capped on top by a walnut wood collar that meets the ceiling without fanfare. Read from below, it sits halfway between Roman quiet and Japandi restraint, a low full moon held in stone and grain.
The travertine is hand-cut from Tivoli quarry stock, face-polished to a low matte that keeps the pores readable around the rim. Each band is sourced from a single block, so veining shifts from piece to piece. The walnut ring on top is turned from European walnut, oiled by hand to a warm low sheen against the stone. The diffuser is a frosted acrylic lens engineered for full radial spread, with a high-CRI integrated LED behind it tuned to 3000K warm white.
Built to flush-mount tight against the ceiling at about 2.8 in deep (7 cm), well-suited to low ceilings and tight stairwells. Three diameters: 11.8 in (30 cm) at 18W and 1,980 lumens for halls, entries, and small bedrooms. 16.9 in (43 cm) at 36W and 3,960 lumens for primary bedrooms and offices. 21.7 in (55 cm) at 48W and 5,280 lumens for living rooms and dining halls. 120V wiring, on a standard wall switch (not dimmable). Hardwires to a standard 4 in junction box in under thirty minutes.
