When we designed AURA No.02, we were thinking about post-war Italian shop windows, the kind where a single horizontal bar held a row of perfect glass spheres above a vitrine. The stone does the architecture. The globes do the merchandising. We borrowed both ideas.
A horizontal bar of real travertine carries two or three hand-blown opal globes. The travertine is left raw, with its natural beige texture and small mineral pores visible. The opal is blown thick enough that the G9 source reads as a soft pearl rather than a hot point.
Two configurations: thirteen inches across for two globes, or twenty-one inches for three. Both sized for the long horizontal walls above sideboards, banquettes, or vanity counters.
Real stone, hand-blown glass
The travertine bar is quarried in Italy, cut, and finished by hand. The natural pores stay open. The veining varies from bar to bar. The walnut accents are solid wood, hand-oiled. The opal globes are mouth-blown.
Damp-rated for humid rooms (IP44). Lives above a bathroom vanity, in a kitchen, or in an entry corridor.
