The travertine quarries north of Rome produce a stone the color of bread crust. Italian designers in the 1960s started carving it into table lamps, paired with hand-blown glass domes from Murano. MORA No.01 sits in that conversation. A tapered travertine base anchors the lamp, a glass dome floats above it, and an integrated LED disc sits at the joint, lit from within.
The base is hand-carved from a single block of travertine, with the natural pores and veining left exposed. The glass dome is blown by hand, available in clear or smoky gray, with the seam at the rim flame-polished to read as one continuous edge. A precision brass collar joins the two materials, holding the LED module at the center of the dome. Warm white at 3000K, 50,000-hour rated, integrated and not user-replaceable.
MORA No.01 measures 9 in across by 13½ in tall (Ø 23 x H 34 cm). It plugs into any standard 120V outlet via a 59 in (150 cm) cord with inline plug switch. Indoor use. The LED is dimmable with a compatible inline dimmer (sold separately). The travertine base weighs enough to keep the lamp steady on a console or buffet.
Set MORA No.01 on a console at the end of a hallway, on a bedside table, or on a writing desk. The travertine reads against warm walls and dark wood floors. Pair with its sibling MORA No.02 (a pure travertine monolith lamp) for a coherent stone language, or set against the OVIA amber pendant for a contrast in warmth. The clear glass version disappears against bright walls, the smoky gray reads as a darker accent.
