Why you'll love the PIETRA No.02

  • Travertine drums on a solid walnut bar. Each drum is hand-cut from a single block of travertine, with its pores left open. Aim each one on its steel ball joint so the light falls forward instead of into the mirror.
  • Two to four heads, light or dark walnut. Choose 12.6 inches above a single sink, 19.7 inches for a wide vanity or 27.6 inches for a long one.
  • Wired in, with a free bulb per head. Your electrician hardwires it to a standard U.S. junction box at 120V, on the wall or ceiling. Each GU10 socket comes with a free dimmable bulb for your standard wall dimmer.
  • Cool to the touch above the sink. The stone draws heat from each bulb, so the drums stay cool when you adjust them. The blackened steel joints turn by hand, no tools needed.

The vanity bar, rebuilt as architecture.

When we designed PIETRA No.02, we kept returning to the bathroom vanity lights of mid-century American hotels: two, three, or four porcelain drums lined up on a brushed brass bar. Direct, functional, slightly impersonal.

PIETRA No.02 keeps the format and replaces the porcelain with hand-cut travertine drums. The bar becomes a length of solid walnut. Each head is independently aimed on a blackened steel ball joint. The light falls forward, never sideways into the mirror.

Available in two, three, or four heads, in light or dark walnut. Mountable as a vanity sconce above a mirror, a hallway sconce, or a flush ceiling fixture.

Travertine drums, not porcelain

Each drum is cut from a single block of travertine, bored through, and finished by hand. The pores stay open on the outer face. The stone dissipates heat, so the fixture stays cool to the touch above the sink.

The walnut bar is solid wood, oiled. Two finishes: light walnut for warm interiors, dark walnut for graphic contrast. The ball joints are blackened steel, adjustable by hand, no tools.

Made for the bath, the hall, and above

Direct-wired into any standard junction box. GU10 sockets, free dimmable bulbs included. Dimmable with a standard wall dimmer.

Two heads above a sink. Four heads above a long vanity. Three for the in-between.
