Why you'll love the CONA No.01

  • Aim the stone dome where you need it. The travertine dome pivots on a brass-and-black collar and holds wherever you set it. Aim it at a bedside book or across a hall to graze the wall.
  • Open stone cup or opal globe inside. The Cylindre head is pure travertine glowing from within, pores and veins left visible. The Coupole adds a hand-blown opal globe for a softer, diffused pool.
  • Solid oak or walnut on the arm. The arm is turned from solid wood in Light Oak or Dark Walnut. Mount a matched pair to flank a mirror, a bed or a doorway.
  • Bath-ready at IP44, with a free bulb. It's damp-rated for bathrooms and covered porches, hardwires at 120V to a standard U.S. junction box and dims with a standard wall dimmer. A free dimmable E26 bulb is included.

Some sconces stay still. CONA tilts toward what matters.

When we designed CONA, we were thinking about the small reading lights set into the alcoves of Italian monasteries. Each one carved from local stone, each one angled by hand to throw light exactly where a manuscript would rest. The form was honest. The function was specific. Nothing was decorative for its own sake.

CONA carries that logic into a modern home. A solid travertine dome rests on a turned wood arm, hinged to pivot through a quiet arc. Aim it down at a bedside book. Aim it across a hallway to graze the wall. Aim it at nothing and let the dome itself catch the light.

Two sizes, two wood finishes, and two head profiles. The Coupole carries a soft opal globe inside the travertine ring for a warm diffused pool. The Cylindre keeps the silhouette pure: just a stone cup glowing from within.

Hand-cut from a single block

The travertine is sourced from quarries near Tivoli and cut from a single block per piece. The natural pores and the fine veins are kept visible. Each dome carries its own pattern. We do not fill, polish, or stain the stone. It arrives the way it left the quarry, just shaped.

The arm is turned from solid European oak or American walnut, fitted with a brass-and-black pivot collar. The hinge moves with weight, not friction. It stays exactly where you set it.

Built for the rooms that need a single light

Hardwires into any standard US junction box. Takes a 40W incandescent or LED equivalent bulb (E26, free dimmable bulb included). Damp-rated (IP44) for bathrooms, covered porches, and any room that asks for damp tolerance.

Sold individually. Looks best as a pair flanking a mirror, a bed, or a doorway.
