Why you'll love the TONDO No.03

  • Raw travertine, faced down to the room. One disc of unfilled travertine hangs under a solid wood cap. Its pores stay open and its mineral threads vary, because each disc comes from a different block.
  • Walnut or natural wood above the stone. Pick a walnut cap or a lighter natural wood. At 7¾ in across and 4¾ in tall, it hangs low over a bedside or a single stool, and three in a row suit a long counter.
  • Standard socket, free bulb, your dimmer. It hardwires to a standard U.S. junction box at 120V and dims with a standard wall dimmer. A free dimmable E26 bulb ships with it, and the 59 in fabric cord is cut to length at install.

A disc of stone, hanging low.

When we designed TONDO No.03, we wanted to keep the geometry honest. One circle of real travertine, faced down. One walnut cap above. Nothing else. The kind of pendant that draws attention to the room around it, not to itself.

The disc is seven and three-quarter inches across. The whole fixture sits about four and three-quarter inches tall once the cap is counted. Hung low over a bedside, a single seat, or one end of a long dining table, the disc becomes the room's quiet center.

The travertine is left raw. The pores show. The mineral threads vary. Each disc is cut from a different block.

Honest materials, honest cuts

The travertine is quarried, cut, and shaped by hand. The cap is solid walnut in two finishes: warm European walnut or lighter natural wood. Both are hand-oiled. The cord is fabric-wrapped, 59 inches, adjustable at install.

Standard E26/E27 socket inside the walnut cap. 40W max, free dimmable bulb included. Dimmable with a standard wall dimmer.

Hung low, hung still

Sized for the kind of room that doesn't need a chandelier. A small dining table for two, a single counter stool, a bedside.
