The Cipro region in southern Italy is named for the limestone cones that rise out of the coast, narrow at the peak and broad at the base. The CIPRO No.01 borrows that geometry. A solid travertine cone hangs point-up against a walnut canopy disc, opening downward to expose a mouth-blown opal glass globe inside. Read from below, the cone reads like a small piece of stone architecture caught on the ceiling.
Each shade is hand-cut from a single Tivoli quarry block, then turned to the cone profile and polished to a low matte that keeps the pores readable across the surface. Veining shifts from piece to piece, so no two cones repeat. The canopy is turned from European walnut, oiled by hand to a warm low sheen against the stone. The opal globe inside is mouth-blown, softening a G9 source into an even glow with no hot spot and no point of glare under the eye.
Sized at 6.3 in across (16 cm) and about 7.9 in tall (20 cm), compact enough to read as a discreet ceiling moment rather than a centerpiece. Runs on a single G9 socket, dimmable with a standard wall dimmer, with 120V wiring. Damp-rated for indirect humidity, which makes it a strong choice for bathroom ceilings outside the shower zone, powder rooms, and steam-prone halls. Can also surface-mount as a wall sconce when the project calls for it. Hardwires to a standard 4 in junction box in about thirty minutes with a licensed electrician.
Pairs naturally with the NERA No.06 sculpted veined marble flush mount when you want stone meeting stone across adjacent rooms. Works as well with the VERTIN No.05 mini travertine flush mount in a connecting hall, or the NIDO No.02 alabaster sconce on a vanity wall. The cone silhouette reads compact, so a pair flanking a hallway works without crowding.
