Why you'll love the PIETRA No.03

  • Opal globes sunk into a bar of stone. Two or three hand-blown opal globes sit in recesses carved into a solid bar of natural travertine. The pin-holes are left unfilled, and the globes glow soft and even when lit.
  • Vanity length or island length. The two-globe bar is 10.6 inches long for a vanity, the three-globe 15.7 inches for a kitchen island. It projects just 5.9 inches, with a walnut or light wood canopy.
  • Wall-dimmer ready, bulbs included. Each globe has its own E26 socket, and a free dimmable bulb ships for every one. Hardwire it to a standard U.S. junction box at 120V and run it on a standard wall dimmer.
  • Damp-rated for bathrooms and covered porches. You can hang it over a bathroom vanity outside the direct spray zone, in a kitchen or on a covered porch.

A small bar of stone, two or three quiet moons.

When we drew PIETRA No.03, we kept returning to a single image: a row of frosted globes set into the underside of a thick stone shelf. The kind of detail you might find in a 1950s Italian bathroom designed by a quiet master. PIETRA No.03 holds that idea. A solid bar of natural travertine carved with two or three recesses, each holding a hand-blown opal glass globe. A solid walnut canopy keeps the whole composition flush to the ceiling.

Two sizes: a two-globe bar (10.6 inches) and a three-globe bar (15.7 inches). Same stone, same proportions.

Real travertine, real opal

The travertine is sourced from a single Tivoli quarry. Each bar is hand-cut and the globe recesses are carved by hand. Pin-holes and figure are left raw, unfilled.

The globes are mouth-blown from premium opaline glass. Damp-rated for bathrooms (outside the direct spray zone) and covered exteriors.
