  • Terrazzo ringed by a hidden halo. A 7.9-inch disc of real terrazzo, mineral aggregate showing on its face, sits on a solid wood base. Behind it, a hidden 3000K LED washes a soft ring of light around the edge.
  • Just 1.8 inches deep, wall or ceiling. It works as a slim wall sconce or as a small flush mount overhead. Pick a walnut or natural ash base to match your floors or trim.

We kept reaching for the same reference: small architectural details in early-Carlo Mollino apartments where light came from behind a single material plane, not from a fixture. A circle of stone with a clean shadow line behind it. Light without a source.

PIETRA No.07 is built that way. A 7.9 inch disc of real terrazzo, cut and ground from real aggregate, mounted to a quiet solid-walnut base. An integrated 3000K LED hides behind the disc and washes a soft halo around its edge. The fixture reads as the stone plus a glow. Nothing else.

The walnut base sits flush to the wall or the ceiling. We built it as a wall sconce that doubles as a flush mount when ceiling-installed.

Hand-cast terrazzo, real walnut

The terrazzo is genuine, cast in small batches with mineral aggregate visible at the cut face. The walnut base is solid hardwood, oil-finished, with grain showing.

The integrated LED module is 3000K warm white, rated 50,000 hours, and matched to the porosity of the terrazzo so the halo reads even at all dim levels.

Indoor, bath, covered outdoor

Damp-rated (IP44). Dimmable with any standard wall dimmer. Hardwires to any standard junction box, wall or ceiling.
