SOVA No.05 was carved from the brief of the simplest possible pendant. A small mass of travertine, just under seven inches across, hand-shaped into a pebble silhouette. A walnut bead at the crown. A twisted black textile cord. Nothing else.
We kept returning to the kitchens and reading nooks where one quiet light does more work than three big ones. SOVA No.05 was built for those moments. The travertine is left raw, not polished, so you can see the cavities and the cream-beige veining that make each shade slightly different. Light pours down and out, catching the porosity from inside.
Available solo or in linear configurations of two or three, mounted on a single 24 or 32 inch ceiling bar. The cluster works as well over a long dining table as a single does over a bedside.
Hand-shaped from a single block of travertine
Each shade is carved from authentic beige travertine. The pores are real, not printed, and the silhouette is finished by hand. The walnut bead is solid wood, either Walnut or natural Ash, sealed and oiled.
The textile cord is hand-twisted, soft to the touch, and adjustable from anywhere along its 60-inch drop. Standard E26 socket accepts any bulb up to 40W incandescent equivalent. Compatible with a standard wall dimmer.
