  • Hand-carved from one walnut block. The base is a soft, asymmetric mass of solid dark walnut, with tool marks you can see up close. The grain shows clearly under the lamp's own light.
  • A linen shade on a heavy base. The 13-inch white linen shade softens the light on the wall behind it. The 5.7-pound base keeps the 15¾-inch lamp steady on a side table, and a pair flanks a sofa well.

A piece of wood, carved like sculpture.

When we designed ROCCA No.02, we kept removing things. No metal collar. No visible socket. No legs. What remained is a single piece of solid walnut, sculpted into a soft asymmetric mass, holding a hand-finished fabric shade.

The base is intentionally heavy. Sets quietly on a side table or sideboard. The shade is white linen, simple and clean, so the walnut does all the visual work.

One finish: warm dark walnut. The grain shows clearly under the lamp's own light.

One block of wood

The base is turned and carved from a single block of European walnut, then hand-oiled. The surface holds the irregular tool marks of hand-finishing rather than the machined smoothness of factory work. Up close, you can read where the maker stopped and started.

Standard E26/E27 socket inside. 40W max LED, plug-in cord 59 in with push-button switch. Dimmable with a standard plug-in lamp dimmer.

For side tables and reading corners

Plug-in, indoor use only. The cord is 59 in so it reaches a wall outlet from most living-room side tables.

Sold individually. Pairs flank a sofa or console well.
