Why you'll love the PALERMO No.01

  • A slit in solid marble lets the light out. A single vertical cutaway runs the length of a cylinder of real veined marble. The hidden LED grazes the inside of the stone, so the light leaves warm and indirect.
  • Veining no other pendant shares. Each cylinder is cut from a single block of marble, then hand-polished so its natural mineral lines stand out against the light.

When we designed PALERMO, we kept thinking about the way Sicilian baroque churches use thin cuts in heavy stone walls to let in light. A whole slab of stone, with a vertical aperture just wide enough for a beam. The drama is in the contrast, not the abundance.

PALERMO is a slender cylinder of real veined marble, 11.8 inches tall and just 3.1 inches across. A single vertical cutaway runs the length of the cylinder, exposing the integrated LED inside. The light grazes the interior surface of the stone before leaving the cylinder, revealing the marble's veining as it passes through.

The cable adjusts up to 59 inches from the canopy. Group three in a row above a kitchen island, or hang one alone above a side table. The narrow diameter means it sits well in tight spaces.

Genuine veined marble, integrated electronics

The cylinder is cut from a single block of real marble, hand-polished to bring out the natural veining. Each piece is unique. No two PALERMOs share the same pattern of mineral lines.

The LED is high-performance integrated, hidden within the cylinder. The vertical cutaway acts as the light aperture and as a window onto the inside surface of the marble. Light leaves the fixture warm and indirect.

Plug, mount, suspend

Hardwires into any standard ceiling junction box via the included canopy. Wired for standard 120V US circuits.
