Why you'll love the CUBA No.02

  • Solid travertine, pierced on four sides. Four round portals are cut off-center through a 6 in cube of solid travertine. Walk around it and you see a sliver of stone, then half of the glowing opal globe.
  • Solo over a table, trio over an island. Hang one cube above a small dining or side table. The Linear Trio spans 32 in for a kitchen island. Each solid cube weighs 8.8 lbs.
  • Free dimmable bulbs, one per cube. Each cube holds a G9 socket and dims with a standard wall dimmer. It hardwires at 120V, and a hand-blown opal globe softens the bulb.
  • Cable cut to height, sloped ceilings welcome. The 59 in braided black cotton cable is shortened at install, and the canopy suits ceilings sloped up to 30 degrees. A solid walnut cap hides the socket.

A stone box with light inside.

CUBA No.02 began with a question we kept asking each other in the studio: can a pendant feel like architecture? A cube of solid travertine, six inches on each side, pierced through with circular portals on four sides. Inside, a single opal globe glows softly. The stone frames the light without containing it.

The portals are off-center on each face, deliberately. From every angle you see something different: a sliver of stone, a half-globe, a clean circular cut through the cube. It is a piece you want to walk around.

Solid travertine, hand-cored

Each cube is cut from a single block of Italian travertine. The portals are core-drilled and finished by hand. The pores of the stone read at arm's length: this is real travertine, not a cast. The cap is solid walnut, the cable a braided black cotton.

Inside, a hand-blown opal globe diffuses the bulb to a soft pool. There are no visible filaments, no harsh highlights.

Solo or linear trio

Solo for a single pendant above a small table. Linear trio for a 32-inch composition above an island. 59-inch adjustable cable. Sloped-ceiling compatible.

Solo on a small table. Trio on an island. The geometry never stops moving.
