The wall, the wood, the glow.
When we drew MURO, we were looking at the small wall sconces that anchor old Italian farmhouse corridors. A solid block of oak mounted flush to the wall, an opal diffuser wrapped around the front, a single warm bulb behind it. Nothing else.
MURO is built exactly that way. A natural oak backplate, four inches wide and ten tall, with a rectangular opal glass diffuser hooked over its face. The diffuser overhangs the wood on three sides, the wood reads as the frame.
One finish: raw oak with a clear matte oil. The opal is always the same warm white.
Solid oak, dipped opal
The block is solid European oak, cut from one piece, finished with a hard matte oil. The grain runs vertically. The block ages to a soft honey over years.
The diffuser is opal-white glass, dipped to its color rather than painted. Even diffusion, no hot spots. Lifts off cleanly to change the bulb.
Built for hallways, bedrooms, stairwells
Single E26/E27 socket, dimmable with a standard wall dimmer. Hardwired to a standard US junction box via the integrated mounting plate.
Reads best as a series along a corridor. The wood disappears, the glow does the work.
