A pendant should disappear into the wood.
When we drew VIRGA, we were thinking about the long bench in a craftsman's workshop. The light overhead is never the point. It is the thing that lets you see what the point is. A line of wood, a line of light, suspended quietly above the work.
VIRGA is exactly that line. A solid walnut beam machined from a single piece, with an integrated LED running its full underside. No bulb to swap. No shade to dust. Just warm light, downcast, on whatever sits below.
Four lengths from 31 to 59 inches mean it scales from a writing desk to a long dining table. Two wood tones, dark walnut or natural ash, let it match the room it lives in.
Solid wood, not veneer
The beam is one piece of European walnut or natural ash, sanded by hand and finished with a low-sheen oil. The grain remains visible. The end caps are minimal, machined flush, so the eye reads a single object instead of a fixture.
The LED is rated for 50,000 hours. That is roughly twenty years of evening use. The diffuser is acrylic, anti-glare, so the light reads as a soft glowing strip rather than a row of dots.
Built for long tables and quiet rooms
Wired into a standard ceiling junction box, suspended by two adjustable steel cables (59 in, trim to taste). Dimmable with a standard wall dimmer. Wired for standard 120V US circuits.
