When we drew PIETRA No.06, we were looking at the long stone benches in old Italian convents. Single-block travertine, polished by hand, sitting at the heart of the room with three lamps lit along its length. We wanted that proportion brought up to the ceiling.
PIETRA No.06 is a 32-inch travertine bar suspended from three black cords, fitted with three solid walnut cone shades along its underside. The cones are spaced to hang above a dining table or a kitchen island, the bar reads as a single sculpted block from any angle.
One material combination: cream travertine and dark walnut. Both honest, both age into a soft patina with the room.
Cut from a single travertine slab, walnut turned on a lathe
The bar is cut from a single block of cream travertine, hand-finished to a 4-inch profile. The natural pores are sealed but left visible. The veining runs the length of the piece without joints.
The cones are turned from solid European walnut, finished with a hard oil. The interior of each cone is white-painted to reflect the bulb's light forward.

Three E26 sockets, dimmable with a standard wall dimmer. Three independent 59-inch cords, all shortenable at install. Hardwired to a standard US junction box via the black steel canopy.
