A chandelier that behaves like a moving sculpture.
FLORA was conceived for the rooms that need a single decisive gesture, the kind of light that organizes the entire architecture around itself. Each shade is hand-spray-painted aluminum, formed into a petal that catches light at the rim and releases it downward. Cascaded from a circular canopy, the petals read at once as a flower in motion and as a Calder mobile, suspended.
We let the form do the work. The shades are layered at different drop heights, never aligned, so the composition reveals new silhouettes as you walk under it. From below, the aperture of each petal glows like a small lantern. From the side, the matte paint reads as ceramic, never plastic.
Eleven hand-spray finishes range from quiet (Cream Matte, Volcano Black) to assertive (Klein Blue, Turmeric Yellow, Coral Pink). Pick monochrome for a single sustained note, or stagger two colors for graphic counterpoint.
Spray-painted by hand in a small atelier
The aluminum is pressed, hand-finished, then sprayed in our atelier using a finishing process closer to automotive coachwork than typical lighting paint. The result is a deep matte that does not flake or yellow.
The cabling is hand-trimmed to a 59-inch canopy drop and adjustable on site. Standard E26 sockets accept any LED, incandescent, or compact bulb up to 40W per shade. The whole composition runs on a single dimmer if you wire it that way.
