Two materials. Three colors. One quiet pendant.
MELI No.02 sits between two craft traditions. The shade is cream porcelain finished with a fine brown trim along its festooned edge. The cap above is solid walnut, with a copper collar between the wood and the shade. The combination is older than us. Italian provincial bakeries, ceramic and wood and brass, lit by a single bulb at a low ceiling.
We kept that quietness. The shade is hand-pressed, the brown trim hand-painted, the walnut hand-finished. Two sizes let MELI hold its own above a small kitchen table or step up to a long farmhouse counter.
The light it casts is warm, not bright. The pendant is meant to be looked at as much as it is meant to illuminate.
Three honest materials, hand-finished
The porcelain is thrown and pressed before firing, with the brown trim painted by hand at the rim. Every shade carries the brush stroke slightly differently. The walnut cap is real wood, finished with a low-sheen oil. The copper collar is solid metal, untreated, and will darken to a deep penny tone over the years.
A free dimmable LED bulb is included, mounted in a standard E26/E27 fitment. You can swap it for any E26/E27 LED if you prefer.
