  • Solid wood around a frosted glass eclipse. A 7.1-inch ring of solid wood frames a 5.9-inch frosted glass dome. The glass scatters the LED evenly, so you never see the source.
  • Ash or walnut, on a wall or ceiling. Pick pale ash or deep walnut. It projects only 2.4 inches, so it works as a sconce in a narrow stairwell or as a low-profile ceiling light in a hall.
  • Warm 3000K glow on your wall dimmer. The integrated LED is rated for 50,000 hours, so there's no bulb to change. It hardwires to a standard U.S. junction box, wall or ceiling, at 120V and works with a standard wall dimmer.

LIDO is the kind of fixture we kept wanting and not finding: an eclipse-shaped flush mount that doesn't look industrial. The geometry is one solid wood ring, 7 inches across, surrounding a 6-inch frosted glass core. The light source lives inside the dome and the wood ring frames it like a halo. The proportion is tight, which is what keeps the piece reading as a quiet object rather than a fixture trying to make a statement.

Three finishes: pale ash, deep walnut, painted white. Same architecture each time. The wood does the talking against whatever the wall behind it is doing.

Specifies as a wall sconce or a low-profile ceiling fixture. Both read correctly.

Solid wood, frosted glass, integrated LED

The ring is solid wood, hand-cut and finished, with an integrated metal driver hidden inside the body. The diffuser is frosted glass, opaque enough to scatter the LED evenly without showing the source. The light is warm white at 3000K, 50,000-hour rated, works with a standard wall dimmer.

Damp-rated, so it works in bathrooms, kitchens, and covered exteriors as well as in dry living spaces.

For halls, baths, spa rooms, narrow stairwells

Hardwires to any US junction box, wall or ceiling. Specify three in a vertical trio above a reading chair, or use one as a low-profile alternative to a recessed can.
