When we designed ROMA, we kept returning to the small luxury sconces of mid-century Rome: a slim brass tube along the wall, a single thick cylinder of cut crystal set perpendicular to it, the bulb behind catching every facet. The form is graphic. The hardware is heavy. The light is small and intense.
ROMA is eighteen and a half inches tall. The brass body is solid, not plated, hand-finished in aged gold. The glass cylinder is thick walled, cut on the outside in a diamond-point pattern that fractures the warm bulb into a hundred small reflections.
Single for a slim wall section. Double for above a console or beside a tall mirror.
Solid brass, cut-crystal glass
The frame is solid brass and iron, weighed at five and a quarter pounds. The diamond-point glass is thick walled, real cut crystal, set into a brass cinch. Replaceable E14 bulb, ships with one included.
At 1500 lumens (15W LED equivalent), the fixture is bright enough to read by without going harsh, and dim-on-demand for evening.
