An alcove for a globe.
RIMINI started with a single line: a curve of bent wood that wraps inward at the top, like a small interior alcove pressed against the wall. Inside the curve sits an opal glass globe, lit from below. We took the gesture from the protective canopies of Italian votive niches, where a single sphere of light is always sheltered by stone or wood. We translated it into a sconce light enough to specify in pairs.
The wood is solid and bent over a form. The curve is consistent, the grain shifts with each piece. Two finishes: deep walnut for warm interiors, pale natural wood for paler ones.
One opal globe per sconce. One bulb. Nothing else needed.
Bent solid wood, hand-blown opal
The curved structure is precision metal core with a solid wood veneer bent and finished by hand. The globe is mouth-blown opal glass, set so it sits proud of the wood rather than recessed into it. You see the curve from the front, and the globe from every angle.
A single G9 socket accepts an LED bulb up to 7W. Dimmer-compatible on any standard wall dimmer. Damp-rated for baths and covered exterior placement.
