Why you'll love the RAMO No.01

  • Solid wood with a head that lifts off. The post and head are solid hardwood, joined by a hidden brass dowel. The head detaches magnetically, so you can use it as a flashlight, then snap it back.
  • Dark sapele or light beech. Sapele has a warm walnut-like tone and beech a pale one, both hard-oiled. The lamp stands 14.8 inches tall on a 2.4-inch square base and weighs 1.1 lbs.

When we drew RAMO, we kept returning to the small task lamps that sit on Italian architects' tables. Solid wood, no shade, no arm joint visible. A single L-shape that holds an integrated LED at its tip and a battery in its foot.

RAMO is built around exactly that idea. A vertical wooden post fifteen inches tall, a horizontal head five inches long. The light strip is recessed into the head. The whole lamp lives on a single USB-C charge for up to fifteen hours.

Two woods: dark sapele (warm walnut tone) and light beech (pale ash tone). Both finished with a hard oil, both age slowly without changing color.

Solid hardwood, magnetic detachable head

The post is solid hardwood, cut from a single piece. No veneer, no glue line. The head is the same wood, joined by a hidden brass dowel.

The head detaches magnetically. Lift it off, use it as a torch, snap it back. The base holds the battery and the USB-C port.

Touch-dimmed, USB-C, fifteen hours

Tap the post to switch on, hold to dim. Three color temperatures: warm, neutral, daylight. Up to fifteen hours per charge on the dimmest warm setting.
