  • Pleated metal that breaks light into lines. The drum shade is pressed metal in a tight vertical pleat, so the glow breaks into fine bands. It stands 14.6 inches tall with a 4.3-inch shade.

When we drew ANCONA, we kept thinking about the small pleated-paper lamps that lined Italian restaurant tables in the 1980s. The pleats did two things at once: they wrapped a hard plastic frame in soft visual rhythm, and they let the bulb's warmth bleed through in a thousand small vertical lines instead of one flat plane.

ANCONA borrows that idea and rebuilds it in metal. A pleated drum shade on a slim stem, set on a flat hexagonal base. The pleats are real, pressed into the metal so the light still breaks into vertical bands. The hex base is what makes the lamp settle on a tablecloth without rolling.

Tunable color, continuous dimmer

The LED runs through a continuous color-temperature gradient from warm white to cool. A continuous touch dimmer pairs with it. The lamp remembers both settings between sessions.

The shade is pressed metal in a tight vertical pleat. The base is solid metal in a hexagonal footprint, weighted to stay steady under a single-finger touch. USB charging port hidden on the underside.
