A lantern with no flame, no cord, no rules.
FARO takes the oldest object in lighting, the carried lantern, and removes everything that made it inconvenient. No flame. No fuel. No wire. It is an open aluminum frame around a soft LED core, charged over USB-C, ready to move wherever the evening goes. The dinner table, then the terrace, then the nightstand.

The structure is aluminum alloy, built as an open cage: a square base, slim corner posts, a clean cap. The light sits inside the frame rather than behind a shade, so it reads as a glowing object from any angle. Anodized matte black, weighted at the base, cool to the touch. It looks like something an Italian designer would have sketched for a terrace in Portofino, except it happens to be cordless.
Three temperatures, one dial.
The integrated LED moves through three color temperatures: warm white for dinner, neutral for reading, cool for task light. The intensity dims continuously, from a low candle-level glow to a clear working brightness. One control does all of it. At 3.5W it runs cool and quiet.
Rated IP54. It belongs outside as much as in.
FARO is sealed against water and dust to IP54, so a covered terrace, a garden table, a windowsill open to the weather are all fair game. A few places it lives well:
