The flowerpot lamp traces back through Verner Panton and the broader European mid-century moment, where the silhouette read playful and serious at the same time. The DOMA No.02 carries the same gesture into a cordless object. A large dome shade hangs on a slim stem above a small inner sphere, set on a round base. It works as easily on a desk in the day as on a dinner table in the evening.
Each lamp is lacquered metal, hand-finished to a glossy enamel that holds color the way old Italian and Danish workshops did. The dome and inner reflector are formed from drawn steel, the stem is a single rod, and the base is weighted to stay put. Touch the top to switch on and to dim. The integrated LED sits inside the inner sphere, throwing light up against the dome, which bounces it back down as a soft warm circle on the table.
Slightly larger than the DOMA No.01. About 13.4 in tall (34 cm) on a 5.5 in (14 cm) base, dome about 8.3 in across (21 cm). Integrated 3W LED, USB-C rechargeable, around 8 hours of runtime per charge. Touch-dim through three brightness levels. No cord, no junction box, no electrician. The shape is built for low evening light on a long dining table, a side table, or a desk, and the lamp moves room to room without losing position. Damp-rated for covered outdoor use.
