The cordless bar lamp, properly slim.

ISOLA is the kind of cordless lamp we kept seeing on Milanese bar counters: small, polished, almost dumbbell-shaped. Tall enough to throw light at face height across a counter, narrow enough that it never crowds the place setting. The body is galvanized metal in one of three quiet finishes. The top is a small flat disc that hides the LED and accepts a touch from the side or above.

We borrowed the proportion from the salt cellars of postwar Italian restaurants, where the geometry had to read across a long table from any angle. ISOLA reads the same way: from across a kitchen island, from the next stool down, from the head of a long dining table.

Galvanized metal, tri-color LED

The body is galvanized metal finished in Silver, Gold, or Rose Gold. The LED is integrated, tri-color (warm, neutral, cool) with continuous touch dimming. Charges via USB in about two hours, runs about three hours on a full charge.

Touch the disc on top to switch, dim, or change color temperature. ON/OFF hard switch under the base for stowing.

Bars, counters, bedside tables, restaurant settings
