  • Oxblood or forest green in high gloss. The saturated glazed ceramic body sits under a band of hand-painted chevrons, all sealed under a clear high-gloss glaze. The solid brass collar is left raw to soften into a patina.
  • Small enough for a bedside or nook. At 5.5 inches across and 1.3 lbs, it hangs over a bedside table or a reading nook, or in pairs over a kitchen island.
  • Twisted brown cord, set to 79 inches. The fabric cord adjusts up to 79 inches, so you can drop it low beside a bed or keep it higher over a counter.

A small light, doing a lot of work.

When we sketched RAGUSA, we kept looking at the entryways of old Sicilian houses. Narrow, generous, always anchored by a single low pendant with a painted band along the rim. Practical objects that ended up beautiful by accident, because the people who made them cared about glaze chemistry and proportion in equal measure.

RAGUSA is a small stacked ceramic pendant, 5.5 inches across. A short top band etched with a chevron motif, then a deeper glazed body in oxblood red or forest green, finished with a solid brass collar at the canopy and a twisted brown fabric cord.

Two colors, both saturated, both finished in a high-gloss glaze that catches the light without ever feeling cheap.

Glazed in two firings, brass turned on a lathe

The body is slip-cast, then bisque-fired. The chevron band is painted on by hand and the colored glaze is poured in a single dip. Both fix under a final clear glaze. The result is a shade that reads almost ceramic-vintage, in a way that mass-produced ceramic never can.

The collar is solid brass, turned on a small lathe and left raw. Over years it will pick up a soft patina. Nothing here is plated.

Built for small rooms and tight corners

Single E26 socket, dimmable with a standard wall dimmer. Adjustable cord up to 79 inches. Pairs well over a kitchen island, a reading nook, or above a small bedside table when you need a hanging fixture instead of a lamp.
