Why you'll love the RAGUSA No.02

  • White porcelain with a jade diamond band. A loose band of diamonds is hand-painted in soft jade around the lower edge of a white porcelain shade, then sealed under a clear glaze.
  • Hang two and the pattern doubles. Just 5.5 inches across and 2.4 inches deep, it hangs in pairs over a kitchen island or a long credenza without crowding. It also anchors a corner on its own.
  • Raw brass and a twisted brown cord. The lathe-turned solid brass collar is left unsealed and picks up patina over the years. The twisted fabric cord adjusts up to 79 inches at install.
  • Ready to dim, bulb in the box. Once it's wired to a standard U.S. junction box at 120V, you can run it on a standard wall dimmer. A free dimmable E26 bulb is included.

The pattern carries the room.

RAGUSA No.02 is the geometric sibling of the family. A small ceramic pendant in the same proportions as No.01, but with a hand-painted diamond band running around the lower edge in soft jade. The pattern is loose, the line is human, the rhythm is the kind you find on tile floors in old Sicilian convents.

Five and a half inches across, just over two inches deep. Small enough to hang in pairs over a kitchen island or a long credenza, large enough to anchor a corner alone.

Topped with the same solid brass collar as the rest of the family, suspended from a twisted brown fabric cord.

Painted by hand, between two firings

The body is slip-cast in porcelain, then bisque-fired. The geometric pattern is brushed on in green slip between firings, then sealed under a final clear glaze. No two pieces share an identical band. The rhythm of the diamonds shifts slightly across every shade.

The brass collar is solid, lathe-turned, and left unsealed. It will pick up patina over the years.
