Why you'll love the OLEA No.01

  • Glazed ceramic with a flower's waved rim. The glazed ceramic corolla is pressed by hand, which leaves a gently waved edge that catches light from every angle. A small opal glass globe at its center glows like a candle.
  • Compact at 4.7 inches across. Put one above your powder room vanity or a pair down a hallway, or mount it on a ceiling. It comes in a Black & White glazed finish.
  • At home in bathrooms and on porches. It's damp-rated (IP44) for bathrooms, kitchens and covered porches. The opal glass globe won't corrode.
  • Bulb included, dimmer friendly. It hardwires to a standard U.S. junction box at 120V and works with a standard wall dimmer. A free dimmable G9 bulb ships with every sconce.

A flower, in white ceramic.

When we designed OLEA, we kept returning to one small detail: the rim of a hand-pressed ceramic plate, where the maker's thumb leaves a soft waved edge. Sicilian potters have been doing this for centuries. Post-war Italian designers turned it into a wall fixture. We borrowed the idea and pressed it down to its essential silhouette.

The corolla is hand-pressed ceramic, glazed and finished by hand. Its undulating rim catches light differently from every angle. A small opal glass globe sits at its center, lit from behind by a single G9 bulb.

The piece is compact: 4.7 inches across, 9.8 deep when extended from a wall. Quiet. Sculptural without effort.

Pressed by hand, never identical

The ceramic is pressed by hand in a small atelier. No two corollas share the same wave pattern. The slight irregularities are part of OLEA's presence: a piece of light that reads as craft, not industrial output.

The opal globe is real blown glass. It diffuses the bulb into a soft, candle-like glow. Not directional. Not bright. Just warm.

Mount it where most fixtures cannot

Wires into any standard junction box. Damp-rated (IP44) for bathrooms, kitchens, covered porches, and humid corridors. Mount on a ceiling or vertically on a wall. Standard G9 socket: dimmable with a standard wall dimmer.

Single above a vanity. Pair above a hallway. Best where a small object can carry a quiet wall.
