Why you'll love the OLEA No.02

  • Black-and-white glaze around a pure white globe. The black-and-white pattern is applied by hand over a pressed ceramic corolla with a softly waved rim. At its center, a blown opal glass globe stays pure white for contrast.
  • Sized up to be seen from below. Larger than the OLEA sconce, the 9.8-inch corolla catches light along every wave of its rim when you look up. Put one above a bathroom door or two down a hallway.
  • Flush on a ceiling, or upright on a wall. Mount it either way on the same hardware. It's damp-rated (IP44) for bathrooms, kitchens and covered porches.

The ceiling version of OLEA.

When we extended the OLEA family to a ceiling piece, we kept the same idea as the wall sconce. A hand-pressed ceramic corolla with a softly waved rim. A small opal globe at its center. Nothing else.

OLEA No.02 is a touch larger than its sconce sibling: 9.8 inches across. The pressed rim catches light from a wider arc when mounted overhead. From below, you see the corolla. From across the room, you see one quiet point of glow.

The corolla is offered in a quiet Black & White colorway. The opal globe at the center stays pure white.

Pressed by hand, glazed by hand

The ceramic is pressed by hand in a small atelier. The waved rim is shaped before firing. The black-and-white glaze pattern is hand-applied. No two corollas are identical.

The opal globe is real blown glass. It diffuses the bulb into a soft, candle-warm glow. The contrast between the patterned corolla and the pure white globe is intentional.

Mount it where most fixtures cannot

Wires into any standard junction box. Damp-rated (IP44) for bathrooms, kitchens, covered porches. Mount on a ceiling or vertically on a wall. Standard G9 socket: dimmable on a standard wall dimmer.
