  • The banker's lamp, freed from its cord. The classic outline stays: a flat shade on a slim post over a weighted rectangular base. It's rebuilt in cast aluminum, with an acrylic shade 10 inches wide.
  • Forest Green or Volcano Black aluminum. Forest Green keeps the library cue, and Volcano Black gives you the modernist version. Both share the same hand-brushed body, 15.7 inches tall.
  • Tap to light, hold to dim. A touch zone on the base turns on the 3000K warm white LED, and holding it dims the light. The LED is rated for 50,000 hours, with no bulb to change.

BANCO No.02 was sketched as a study of the lamps that used to sit on partners' desks in pre-war American libraries. The familiar silhouette is still there: a flat translucent shade pivoting at the top of a slim post, a weighted rectangular base. What we changed is the spirit. The brass and green glass are gone. In their place: brushed aluminum, an acrylic optical shade, and an internal battery.

Two colors: Forest Green for rooms that want the heritage cue, Volcano Black for rooms that prefer the modernist version. Both share the same matte aluminum body and the same warm-white LED.

Built to live without a cord. Tap the touch zone at the base to switch on. Hold to dim. Battery integrated, charges via USB. Runtime several evenings of focused reading.

Cast aluminum, integrated LED, touch dim

The body is cast aluminum, hand-brushed, sealed. The shade is acrylic optical, 10 inches wide. The integrated LED is rated 50,000 hours, 3000K warm white. CRI is high enough for sustained reading.
