  • Travertine, walnut and one black arch. A ring of cream travertine hangs from a matte black arch above a solid walnut wall plate. The LED hides in the stone, and each ring has its own pores and veining.
  • Sized for a console or a hallway pair. At 15.7 in tall and 5.9 in wide, it looks best from the side. Hang one above a console or a pair across a hallway.
  • Warm LED that follows your wall dimmer. It hardwires to a standard U.S. junction box at 120V and dims with a standard wall dimmer. The 3000K LED is rated for 50,000 hours, with no bulb to change.

An object first. A light second.

BASSO sits on a wall the way a small sculpture sits on a plinth. A turned walnut disc anchors the piece flush to plaster. A black metal arch curves out and over. A donut of cream travertine hangs from the arch's apex, balanced by a small walnut bead at the foot. The LED hides inside the stone.

The proportions came from a sketch we kept returning to: a postwar Italian bracket lamp drawn with the precision of a Carlo Scarpa detail. Three materials, three colors, no unnecessary parts. The arch reads as a single confident line. The travertine reads as weight.

One finish, in cream beige travertine. Designed to be specified singly or in pairs.

Real stone, real wood, integrated light

The travertine ring is cut from a single block. Veining and pores vary, which means each piece arrives slightly different. The walnut plate and finial bead are turned from solid walnut and oil-finished. The arch is precision metal in matte black.

The light source is an integrated LED rated for 50,000 hours, warm white at 3000K, compatible with a standard wall dimmer. Damp-rated for baths and covered exteriors.

For halls, baths, bedrooms

Hardwires into any standard US junction box, wall or ceiling. Best read from the side, where the line of the arch carries the eye.
