Why you'll love the MIRA No.01

  • A milky glass globe on a slim arc. The hand-blown opal globe, 7.9 in across, softens the bulb into a milky halo. A drawn brass tube curves over from a small round backplate to hold it.
  • Brushed brass or matte black. Choose brushed brass to warm the opal glass, or matte black to sharpen its outline. At 14.2 in tall, a pair suits either side of a headboard or a hallway console.
  • Light that reaches into the room. The globe sits 5.9 in off the wall, so the light spreads outward across your bed or down a corridor rather than only washing the wall.
  • Free G9 bulb, standard wall dimmer. It hardwires to a standard U.S. junction box through the round backplate at 120V and dims with a standard wall dimmer. A free dimmable G9 bulb is included.

The arc carries the light.

When we drew MIRA, we were thinking about the small Italian villas where the corridor sconces look like shepherd's crooks. A slim brass rod that bends gently over from a wall plate, holding a single opal globe at its tip. The kind of fixture you stop noticing after a week and would miss immediately if it were gone.

MIRA is that exact gesture in modern proportions. A nearly eight-inch opal globe at the tip of a fourteen-inch arched arm. The globe glows, the arm reads as a line, the round backplate disappears into the wall.

Two finishes: brushed brass and matte black. The brass warms the opal, the black sharpens its silhouette.

Hand-blown opal, drawn brass tube

The globe is hand-blown in a small atelier, then annealed for clarity. The opal diffusion gives a milky halo around the bulb without ever looking hazy.

The arm is drawn brass tube, finished by hand. The arc is shaped on a small bender, not pressed into a mold. The line is precise but not mechanical.

Built for bedrooms, corridors, console walls

Single G9 socket, dimmable with a standard wall dimmer. Hardwired to a standard US junction box via the round backplate.

Reads best in pairs flanking a headboard or console.
