Why you'll love the OVIA No.04

  • Smoked amber glass, blown by hand. Each shade runs slightly deeper or lighter in color than the next. The smoked amber filters the bulb into a warm, candle-like glow with no harsh hot spot.
  • Dome for groups, Disc for the dining table. The 7.1-inch Dome works in pairs or a row of three over a kitchen island. The 11-inch Disc hangs alone over a dining table.
  • Black wood cap that fades into the ceiling. The cap is solid hardwood stained matte black, so it recedes against a dark ceiling at night. The 59-inch cable adjusts to your ceiling height, even on slopes up to 30 degrees.
  • Dims down to a deep amber dinner glow. It hardwires to a standard U.S. junction box at 120V and works with a standard wall dimmer. A free dimmable E26 bulb ships with every shade.

There's a particular warmth that lighting designed before the 1980s used to have. OVIA is built on that.

In post-war Italy, designers like Vico Magistretti and Tobia Scarpa treated electric light as a guest that needed softening. They draped it in amber blown glass. They paired it with stained wood. They made fixtures meant to hang over a table where a meal would last three hours.

OVIA is a pendant in that tradition.

A hand-blown shade of smoked amber glass, suspended from a solid stained-wood cap. A single E26 socket holds a 40W warm bulb, dimmable to whatever the moment requires. Two sizes let the same gesture work across different spaces: a 7.1-inch Dome for paired or grouped installations, and an 11-inch Disc for a singular focal piece over a dining table.

Mouth-blown, never identical

The glass is mouth-blown by hand, which means the amber color varies subtly from one shade to the next. Some read deeper, some lighter; some carry the soft imperfections of the blower's breath. That variation is the point. Lighting made in a factory mold would not warm a room the same way.

The wood is solid European hardwood, hand-stained matte black. It recedes against a dark ceiling at night and re-emerges as a quiet sculptural form during the day. No veneer, no laminate, no shortcut.

Built for the rooms that take their time

Installed into any standard US junction box. 59-inch adjustable cable to fit any ceiling height. Compatible with sloped ceilings up to 30 degrees. Dimmable with a standard wall dimmer. 120V.

Made to live over dining tables, kitchen islands, hallways, and the kinds of corners where a single warm light can change everything.

Sold individually in two sizes. Most dining rooms call for a single Disc. Most kitchens call for three Domes in a row.
