NOCE began with a single image: the way late afternoon light passes through a low tumbler of amber whisky. Liquid color, held by something solid. The mid-century Italians worked that contrast often. Brass and stone, brass and walnut, glass that tinted everything it touched.
What we built is small and deliberate. An 8.7 inch disc of premium smoked amber glass, ringed by solid brass, with a turned walnut cylinder anchoring the stem. Lit from within by an integrated LED that catches the brass first, then passes through the glass.
Sized to hang in pairs above a kitchen island, or alone over a side table or reading chair. It does not announce itself in a daylit room. It earns its keep once the lights come down.
Solid brass, real walnut, real glass
The hardware is solid brass, not plated. It will pick up patina over years if left to. The walnut is European, turned on a lathe and oil-finished. The amber disc is bowed glass, not acrylic, with the slight optical irregularities of poured stock.
The integrated LED module is rated 50,000 hours and available in either 3000K warm white or 6000K bright daylight. Non-replaceable, but built to outlast the room it lives in.
Built for considered interiors
The 59 inch cord is field-adjustable and works with sloped ceilings up to 30 degrees. Dry-rated for indoor use only. Hardwired into any standard US junction box on standard 120V circuits.
