The shape of a small Art Deco column, lit from within.
ALABA No.07 was conceived as a vertical exclamation. A cylinder of genuine alabaster, twelve inches tall, sitting on a small base of solid brass cut with fluted vertical channels. A single black metal collar at the bulb socket completes the form. The brass holds the stone, the stone holds the light.
The alabaster reads cream by day and golden when the light is on. The veining of each stone is unique, and we select for slow cloud-like striations rather than aggressive marbling. The brass flutes are inspired by 1920s American Deco column work but cut in a contemporary proportion.
Compact at four-and-three-quarter inches wide, so it works as a single sconce flanking a mirror or as a pair on either side of a bed. Damp rated.
Real alabaster, real solid brass
The alabaster cylinder is cut from a single block, hand-shaped, and sanded smooth. The fluted brass base is machined from solid bar stock, hand-polished, then sealed. No plating, no plating loss.
Standard E26 socket accepts any bulb up to 40W incandescent equivalent. Free dimmable bulb included. Works with a standard wall dimmer.
Built for vanities, bedside walls, and considered powder rooms
