We took the form and pulled it apart, replacing the molded plastic base with a single block of real marble, and the glass dome with hand-blown opal in proper proportion. The result is a familiar silhouette in unfamiliar materials.

The cone base reads heavy. Marble has weight that plastic and resin can only suggest.
